Top 5 Things to Have When Traveling with Kids

Sharing is caring!

Hey yall! So I planned on doing this whole bomb blog post about the 4th and all of that jazz but then I saw this was on my calendar and with me studying for my real estate exam I needed to do this post. Since everyone is traveling now hopefully, and getting to be in the car with littles, I wanted to share some things we love to bring on car rides for our kiddos that have really helped! Since all of our family lives in MO (we live about 5-6 hours away depending on how many stops we take) our kids are frequent travelers. We have all the things to help keep them comfy and cozy while they are on the car ride, and things to help when them feel at home when they are resting! Hoping this will help you out as well when planning your next trip!

1. Ipad/Tablet Headrest Mount

This mount is great for long car rides! The kids just sit back and watch a couple of movies and nothing has to tear up your seat! It fits many different tablet options!

2. Baby White Noise Machine

This sound machine has been AMAZING with my son. He is not a fan of his carseat but with this sound machine, his favorite blanket, and pacifier he is set!! It has three different volumes and self timer!

3. Snacks

I don’t know about your kiddos or spouse but mine are hungry 24/7 365 ALL THE DANG TIME. So we always make sure the we have a cooler full of their favorite snacks and a water bottle handy! The 360 Sippy Cup is our favorite. They are easy to clean and help train the kiddos to drink from a big cup. This helps us to save money, not eat out a ton, and get us to our destination quicker. We love the spill proof snack holder for graham crackers, cheerios, fruit snacks. etc.

4. Roll Up Nap Mat

These nap mats are amazing for traveling. They are so good to just roll up and throw in the car. Both are kiddos have one and they love them. Super easy and compact!

5. Medicine/First Aid Bag

I don’t want to link anything here just because you know what all that good stuff is!! For example we ALWAYS bring gas drops, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, band aids, allergy medicine, baby melatonin, etc. Where we go in MO isn’t super convenient and also it helps if someone gets sick on the road!!

Below you’ll find other things we used when the kiddos were babies that helped us out a lot!

That’s a wrap! Hope this is helpful to you. Come find me on IG @Prettylittlestyleblog

Happy 4th of July!!
