Finding the right makeup can be so hard! You don’t know if the famous tiktok makeup trend is worth it, how do I apply the product, is this the correct shade? Well girl I have got you covered. These are in my opinion the best makeup products you need to try. It’s a mix and match of higher end and affordable. Eyes
If I am feeling fancy that day for eyeshadow, I love using the Tarte palette. Their eyeshadows are easy to apply and are placed in the palette to make creating a beautiful eye look effortlessly. If I am wearing makeup around the house, and not creating content for the day I will just use bronzer from the Tarte trio palette. The bronzer is easy to apply and gives the illusion that you tried to look bad and boujee that day.
Tip: For a clean eyeshadow look, do your eyeshadow before your face foundation. This will help keep your cheeks clean from fallout and easier clean up around the eye if you had any error with eyeliner.
Lips
This is my FAVORITE topic. I love lipstick because it makes me feel like a boss when I have it on. If you’re feeling like you’re not your best self for the day, put some lipstick on and go about your business. I have linked some good neutrals, good for year round. Since I am writing this post during the fall season, the milani matte lip is a great one to rock, with a little lip gloss on top.
Tip: Invest in a good lip liner! Lip liner truly does make or break your lip stick wear. It also helps make your lips look more plump and full.

Face
These face products are my tried and true! Both foundations I am recommending I have used for years and will probably keep using them because they look beautiful on the skin. Things to remember with foundation:
- Your makeup will only look as good as your skin allows. Meaning have a good skincare regimen! I plan on having a blog post with all the skincare products I recommend, but remember everyone skin is different! I also love Botanic Garden’s exfoliator scrub.
- Primer is key! Be sure to apply primer to before you apply makeup and let it set and dry completely prior to applying foundation!
Cheeks
Cheeks are fun and can help make you look alive! I love applying cream products first, then setting everything it translucent powder. After that I will apply my powder cheek and bronzer. The Dior liquid bronzer is the most boujee-est thing I own in my life, but it’s good and I am going to keep using it. It is actually a body foundation, but my girl in St. Louis Joy taught me to use it as liquid bronzer, so here we are. A little goes a long way which is awesome because this product is on the higher end. For the blush I love using the Pixie blush cream stick. It is such a beautiful color on the skin and so easy to blend.
Tip: Use a flat brush to blend cream products out. You can also use a beauty sponge too. I have linked brushes that you should try out. I have been using them for years and they are super affordable!
