What Trends Should I Be Wearing to Have the Best Holiday Look?
This is such an important question! When I make a purchase I always ask myself is this an investment piece or a statement piece. I will absolutely splurge on items I think will be in style year after year, but if it’s something I don’t see sticking around next season, I always head to Amazon because it’s the most affordable! Here’s some trendy things to keep you looking trendy this season:
- Faux Leather Leggings– These are something to invest in! Have been on trend for long enough to get some nice ones.
- Tops with puff sleeves/shoulder pads- Trendy piece, don’t spend too much $$ on these)
- Sequins- This is something you can invest in. Sequins will always be popular during the holidays)

- Sweater Dresses – These are something you can do either or. I don’t consider them a “trendy” piece but I like spending a little more on them because of the quality!
- Velvet – I typically head to Amazon for these items because I know I won’t wear them a ton, but can look still look really great for a night or two!

Holiday Looks with Sequins
I never explored the sequin fashion world until this year. Not sure why I waited this long for it to happened. Walmart has some amazing sequin options for a great price. I styled this black top (ordered size 1X). It fits really nice and can be easily dressed up with a faux leather skirt, or dressed down with a good pair of jeans!
I also snagged this midi sequin dress with a belt! It so perfect for this holiday season and is very comfy for it being a nice dress! I am wearing size 16/18 here but probably could’ve worn a 14/16.
Holiday Looks with Velvet
I love velvet. It makes me feel a little edgy but still girly. You can rock velvet with a good pair of black booties, or dress it down with a solid pair of combat boots! The best ones I have found are from Amazon! I love to grab them for under $40. Below you’ll see how I style this spaghetti strap brown velvet dress. It’s so perfect!
