Outdoor Patio Decor

Sharing is caring!

Hey y’all! Hope you’re having a great week. I figured with it being nice out (well in TN it’s been nice) I’d start getting the good ole front porch looking nice. Y’all our front porch was a hot mess….like embarrassing. We have a pretty nice home on the inside, but it was not welcoming at all when you walk up to the front door.

Our outdoor landscaping never was a big priority to us because we aren’t super landscape orientated people. However, Steven and I got a wild hair and knew we could handle mulch. So we started there and it made SUCH a difference. It’s not super expensive and it’s literally idiot proof. Like for real you can’t screw it up.

So once we put some mulch in, I decided it’s time to make our porch “welcoming” instead of it looking like ghost lived there. So I traveled to my local nursery and got me some cutie little plants. Now, I am NOT a plant lady, but I can handle a couple of ferns and some plants that don’t require a ton of watering. I decided to add greenery to our porch because it’s clean, and neutral! I wanted to start with mainly neutral things, and then slightly add in some colors. Then, I picked out some plants I knew I could keep alive. When picking out plants be sure you read the labels and then it’s pretty simple.

Now, onto decor which is my favorite part. Again, I started with choosing neutrals with adding in some pops of color.

I wanted my porch to feel happy and own all the summer vibes. With all the creams and browns, adding the pops of blue makes me feel somewhat tropical. When you walk to my front door you’ll be singing “It’s 5′ o clock somewhere”. The patio set I own is originally from Big Lots. They have A TON of outdoor patio furniture for a great price. I actually had that set on my back porch! Always shop your home decor first before buying new!

Below I compiled all the recommendations y’all shared with me on stories on where to buy outdoor decor. I have dollar signs next to each one for the price range. Happy shopping!!
