As a curvy, size 16 girl shopping for a flattering swimsuit can be overwhelming! However, if you remember some key things to look for when shopping for a swimsuit you’ll be set. I always love a one piece swimsuit with ruching. The ruching material on the tummy area helps hide my mom pooch. I love that I birthed two kids but at times get a little insecure with my tummy area. Finding a bathing suit with ruching is the number one thing I recommend. If you’re wanting to wear a two piece bathing suit, I would grab the high waisted bottoms! High waisted bottoms are flattering for curvy women, and come in so many colors and patterns typically. Since I am a bustier curvy women, I always grab swimsuit tops with really good support. I found these cute ones from Target this year. The Kona swimwear line is incredible this year, and very great quality. I grabbed size 18 in this maroon swimsuit.

What is the Best Swimsuit to Hide Tummy?
If you’re looking for a swimsuit to hide your tummy I would stick with a one piece that has ruching around the belly! Ruching around the tummy area always is more flattering on anyone. If you’re looking for a two piece swimsuit option I would shop for high waisted bottoms and depending on your bust size I would stick with a good tankini top, or a great swimsuit top with underwire.

I have tried so many swimsuits for my curvy girl body and finally think I have found some really great websites for bathing suits! Amazon is a number one for me when I am in a hurry. The key to finding great swimsuits from Amazon is reading the reviews. I always scale the reviews before purchasing any swimsuit from there.
